Spring House of Delegates Meeting – April 30 & May 1

The Spring House of Delegates meeting, April 30 – May 1, will be held in a virtual format, as will the remainder of the Pathologists Leadership Summit, May 2 – 4.

Friday, April 30

Join the HOD Friday evening from 6:30 – 8:00 pm (CT) for the virtual Board of Governors (BOG) Candidate Forum.

With seven members to date vying for four seats on the CAP Board, this livestreamed session with audience Q/A is a terrific opportunity to get to know these candidates prior to the election later this summer.

Saturday, May 1 HIGHLIGHTS

Delegation breakout sessions begin the day, offering connection with your local and regional peers. Later in the morning, House members will have time for Delegate Q/A with CAP Officers and Council Chairs.

Pathologist Workforce: Assessing the Landscape will feature policy and education leaders in a morning panel discussion. After sharing CAP research and exploring trends shaping our specialty’s future, this interactive session will open to House members to allow you to share your perspectives and experiences.

A.I. & Digital Pathology–The Future of Diagnostic Medicine will be the afternoon panel discussion, led by leaders and early adopters in this domain, again followed by a Q/A session. Both A.I. and pathology workforce are topics of importance that you as House members prioritized in our survey earlier this year, so please bring your questions and concerns to these interactive livestreamed segments.

Advocacy Update with Jonathan L. Myles, MD, FCAP, Chair, Council on Government and Professional Affairs, will provide the latest information on legislative and regulatory policies and CAP advocacy priorities, including late-breaking topics and what we can expect under the Biden administration.

The President-Elect and Secretary-Treasurer Candidate Forums will follow the PathPAC-sponsored keynote speaker, Karl Rove. Here again, these Candidate Forums provides HOD members with an opportunity to ask questions and learn more from pathologists running for CAP Officer positions.

The HOD-sponsored Networking Reception will close out the day with time to meet and greet colleagues participating in the Spring HOD meeting as well as those attending the Pathologists Leadership Summit.
