Memorandum of Opposition House Bill 995

MSP has been very actively involved in advocacy against a very serious legislation in MO, House Bill 995; Modifies provisions relating to medical confidentiality which would significantly impact all clinical labs across Missouri. MSP summited a letter to the committee in opposition of this new proposed legislation. Additionally, MSP President Dr. Gupta presented effective MSP testimony on Tuesday 2/23/21 before the House Special Committee on Government Oversight. Dr. Gupta’s testimony begins at 3:40:40. House Bill 995 is highly unlikely to move in its current form as there were multiple stakeholders in opposition, including MSMA, CAP and MSP.
